Services and Products
Study Packs and Memberships
Python Playground offers various study packs and membership levels. By purchasing a study pack or membership, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions specific to each product, including payment terms, refund policies, and usage rights.
Reservations and Discounts
Users can reserve study packs before making a purchase and begin building their Python Learning Curve at any time. While reservations are not limited to the pre-launch period, reserving a study pack during the pre-launch period may qualify users for discounts. To reserve a study pack, users must provide their email or WhatsApp and name. Discount rates are subject to change and are specifically applicable during the pre-launch period. Additionally, users who reserve study packs may receive further discounts or the option for credit purchases based on the number of participants within their Python Learning Curve.
If multiple discount vouchers, coupons, or offers are applied to a user's purchase, only the highest value discount will be honored. Please note that the maximum allowable discount will not exceed 50%.

Fundraising (Donations & Scholarships)
Scope
These fundraising terms apply to donation pages hosted on Python Playground (including student fundraisers and the Scholarship Fund). They supplement our general Terms and govern donors, students/beneficiaries, and anyone creating or managing a fundraiser.
Payment Processing
All donations are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS–compliant payment processor. By donating, you also agree to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Fees
Stripe deducts processing fees (and, where applicable, currency conversion and tax on fees). For every donation we record Stripe’s official gross amount, fee total, and net amount from the balance transaction. Python Playground does not charge an additional platform fee. Donors may optionally add a tip to support our infrastructure; tips are voluntary and not required.
Payouts & Use of Funds
Donations support education expenses only. We prioritize direct payments to universities and approved vendors (e.g., bookstores, device vendors, testing centers). When direct payment is not feasible, a documented stipend may be issued to the student under our Scholarship Policy (invoice/receipt upload required).
Refunds & Disputes
If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us at support@pythonplayground.org within 7 days. If funds have already been committed or disbursed to a university/vendor, refunds may not be possible. Chargebacks are handled per card-network rules; Stripe may assess dispute fees.
Compliance & Tax
We operate in accordance with applicable fundraising and payment laws. Unless otherwise stated, donations are not tax-deductible. We will update this notice if our status changes (e.g., fiscal sponsorship or charity registration).
Eligibility (Students/Beneficiaries)
You must be a current or former Python Playground learner with an active account.
Funds may be used only for education expenses (tuition/fees, approved devices, connectivity, study packs, courses, exams).
We may request proof (admission letters, invoices, receipts). Submitting false information may result in removal and possible fund reversal.
Page Moderation & Removal
We may edit, unpublish, or remove fundraisers that violate policy (misrepresentation, offensive content, unsafe claims, risky perks).
Use of Images, Video, and Testimonials
By uploading media, you confirm you own the rights or have permission and grant Python Playground a non-exclusive license to display them for fundraising and reporting.
For minors, guardian consent is required.
Disbursement & Timing
Preferred disbursement is direct-to-vendor (universities, bookstores, device vendors).
When direct payment isn’t feasible, stipends may be issued to the student with documentation.
Typical processing time after verification is 7–14 business days (subject to Stripe settlement and verification).
Surplus / Shortfall Policy
If a page exceeds its goal or the original expense is reduced/unavailable, surplus funds are applied to other eligible education expenses for the same student; remaining surplus may support the Python Playground Scholarship Fund.
If the goal is not met, partial support may still be disbursed toward the stated purpose.
Restricted Gifts & Donor Preferences
Donors may note a preference (e.g., “laptop”). We endeavor to honor preferences but reserve discretion to allocate to the most urgent eligible expense.
Refunds & Cancellations (Donors)
Donation errors can be reviewed within 7 days; if funds are already committed or disbursed, refunds may be limited or unavailable.
Chargebacks are governed by card-network rules; Stripe dispute fees may apply.
Prohibited Incentives
No giveaways, raffles, lotteries, or chance-based benefits tied to donations. Donations do not affect scholarship selection.
Recurring Donations
Donors may start/stop recurring gifts anytime from their receipt link or by contacting support. The next cycle must be cancelled before renewal to avoid the charge.
Tax & Receipts
Unless otherwise stated, donations are not tax-deductible. Official receipts show gross, fees, net, and currency. If we obtain charitable status/fiscal sponsorship, we’ll update this section.
FX & Cross-Border Transactions
Currency conversion and network assessments are handled by Stripe and may affect fees and net amounts.
Identity, KYC/AML & Sanctions
We may collect identity details for beneficiaries and, where required, donors to comply with KYC/AML and sanctions screening. Non-completion may delay or prevent payouts.
Data & Privacy
We minimize sensitive data on public pages. If a student shares personal circumstances (e.g., health/financial hardship), explicit consent is required for public display; otherwise it will be redacted. See our Privacy Policy for more.
Transparency & Audit
We publish monthly updates (anonymized) and an annual summary (aggregated totals, categories, outcomes). We keep auditable records of applications, rubric scores, disbursements, invoices, and receipts.
Changes to Goals / Edits
Material changes (goal, purpose) after launch require an update note on the page. We may contact donors if the purpose materially shifts.
Inactivity & Auto-Closure
Pages with no activity for 90 days may be paused or closed; remaining balances, if any, follow the Surplus Policy.
Communications & Donor Contact
Donor emails are used for receipts and updates. We do not sell or lease donor data. Opt-out is available in every email (transactional emails like receipts may still be sent).
Conflicts of Interest
Staff, reviewers, or advisors with a relationship to a beneficiary must recuse from selection/disbursement decisions.
Cross-Border Payments & FX (Disbursement)
When required to pay in a foreign currency, we use a regulated payment provider or bank. The fundraiser balance covers the FX spread, transfer fees, and any intermediary bank fees. We do not add margin to FX. We maintain records of the invoice amount, FX rate used, fees, and proof of payment. If FX/transfer costs are unusually high, we may propose a local-currency alternative or seek the student’s consent before proceeding.
Disbursement Order of Preference
(1) Direct-to-university/vendor; (2) Direct-to-authorized local collection partner; (3) Student stipend with documentation and deadlines. We may deny or pause stipends if documentation is incomplete.
Transparency (Disbursement)
For each disbursement we keep internal records and provide public, anonymized updates. Figures may differ slightly due to bank or provider adjustments during settlement.
